Become a Member

Why be a member of Ivoryton Library? Members are invited to vote at the association’s annual meeting, attend special membership events, and more!

Ivoryton Library is one of the oldest member libraries in the state. When the association was formed in 1871, each member paid $1 each, which was used to buy books stored in the Main Street home of Samuel Cheney. In 1889, the association had raised enough money to construct and dedicate the building we now know as Ivoryton Library. The organization was built by its membership and has sustained itself for over 150 years because of the community members who invest time, energy, and funding into its mission. Join our association and become a part of Ivoryton Library’s legacy!

The association offers a range of membership options. All gifts to the library are meaningful and support the programs and collections available to the community.

Donate

Membership still active but looking to donate? Donations of any size are always gratefully accepted and we thank you for considering us.

Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Library Director, Colleen Goodrich. We have opportunities for most of our functions and events, as well as general opportunities to support.
We appreciate any and all help, and we thank you in advance.

Attend Fundraisers and Events

Join us at any of our yearly events to help us meet our goals. From the Pumpkin Chase to our annual Escape Room, there are several opportunities to join the fun each year.

Legacy Giving

We hope that you will consider the Ivoryton Library Association worthy of inclusion in your estate planning. Please remember that the size of the gift is not important—any amounts will help ensure that the library remains a viable resource to the area for generations to come.
